Mom always came to the rescue with these frozen treats back in the 1960s with her homemade Whipped Topping and Ice Cream Sandwich dessert ideas.

Back then, these economical ice cream sandwiches saved the day when we heard that ice cream truck passing by and couldn't afford to buy those treats daily.

Mom would get very creative, making us homemade treats using any leftover baked goods, cookies, donuts, pancakes, and breakfast waffles.
