Ingredients
- 2 cans crescent or biscuit refrigerated roll dough (8 to 10 rolls in each can)
- 1 pound of deli corned beef (sliced or shredded) or make a Corned Beef Roast
- 8 slices Swiss cheese ( or more shredded or sliced if you want lots of cheese)
- 1/ 1/4 cups bavararin style sauerkraut (drained well and blotted dry)
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing and more for serving
- Garnish before baking to seal the crust: 1 egg (beaten with 1 teaspoon of water )
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- Add the first can of dough (whatever brand and biscuits you prefer).
- Unroll the biscuits or crescent rolls and press them down to the bottom of your greased baking dish, pressing them down flat.
- Start with layering the cheese slices on top of the refrigerated dough.
- Next, add the corned beef (sliced or shredded) on top of the cheese.
- Sprinkle the drained sauerkraut on top.
- Randomly add the thousand island dressing on top of the sauerkraut.
- Add the remaining sliced or shredded Swiss cheese.
- Top with the last can of biscuit dough on top (using fork tines) and seal the dough at the edges.
- Using a pastry brush, brush the top with the beaten egg to seal the top and edges.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a crispy golden in color.
- Let this sit for 5 minutes before cutting.
