It’s always one of my most asked-for Thanksgiving pies every year, however, you won't want to make it just for a special holiday after the first bite.
Top your pie with all your favorite, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or even a slice of sharp cheese for a heavenly dessert.

Easiest Caramel Apple Pie Recipe
- preheat the oven
- if using fresh apple peel, core, and slice the apples (or just use the canned apple pie)
- melt the caramels with milk on the stovetop(it takes around 5 minutes)
- pour this over the apples
- sprinkle sugar on top of the pie with dots of butter
- bake and serve! (see the ingredients in the recipe card at the end of this post with measurements)

Easy Caramel Apple Pie
Easy Caramel Apple Pie semi-homemade and a wonderful dessert for caramel apple lovers

Ingredients
- 2- 9-inch prepared pie crusts ( I used frozen not refrigerated)
- 2 cans of apple pie filling (see below for fresh apple filling if preferred)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 12 unwrapped caramels
- 1 teaspoon milk
- Garnish before baking: 2 tablespoons chopped butter, 1 teaspoon brown sugar or cinnamon and sugar mixture
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans
- Alternative Fresh Apple Filling:
- 4 cups sliced apples
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons AP Flour
- Mix evenly together and add to the pie crust.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Oil spray a deep dish pie plate.
- Place one of the prepared pie crusts into the pie plate.
- Place the pie filling into a bowl and mix in the spices.
- Pour the pie filling into the crust-lined pie plate.
- In a medium-sized saucepan melt the caramels with milk.
- Pour this over the top of the apple pie filling.
- Add the pecans now if using.
- Top with a second crust.
- Place on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet to catch and spill.
- Pierce the top crust with a fork and dot with butter or brush with melted butter.
- Sprinkle with sugar of choice.
- Bake in preheated oven until the crust is golden brown around 35 to 45 minutes.
