The chicken bites take around 30 minutes to marinade then threaded on water-soaked mini wooden skewers then in 15 minutes air fried to perfection.

Air Fryer Lemon Chicken Skewers Simple Steps
- soak the mini skewers in water for at least30 minutes to 1 hour
- cut up the boneless chicken breasts into cubes (or leave them in thin strips to thread)
- place the marinade in a plastic ziplock bag
- marinate for at least 30 minutes
- set the air fryer to 400 degrees
- air fry for 15 minutes
- thats it!

- boneless chicken breasts cut into strips or cubed
- lemon juice and zest from fresh lemons
- garlic or granulated garlic powder

Cooking Methods
- Grill: Soak the skewers in warm water, and thread the chicken. I usually cook these on oil-sprayed foil ( see photo below). Heat the grill to medium heat and cook for around 5 minutes turning until the juice runs clear and the internal temperature is 165 degrees
- Oven: place on in a cast-iron skillet, and bake at 400 degrees until browned and the juice runs clear around 15 to 20 minutes. Cool then thread on skewers
- Air Fry: Heat the air fryer to 400 degrees. Place chicken strips on the middle rack and set the timer for 11 to 15 minutes. Thread on skewers when cooking is completed. Refer to your instant-read thermometer to ensure doneness is at 165 degrees internal temperature.

How To Make The Easiest Lemon Chicken Ever Air Fried

Air Fryer Lemon Chicken Skewers
Mini Chicken skewers are made super easy in the air fryer. Marinade, thread, and air fryer. Delicious and a great appetizer or fun meal.

Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts cubed
- 1/2 tablespoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon freshly minced fine garlic, or use granulated garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon each of salt, pepper, and paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (omit if you don't enjoy a little kick and heat)
- 21/2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated lemon zest
- optional: 1 sprig or fresh rosemary
Instructions
- Rinse the chicken then dry with paper towels.
- Cut chicken into 2-inch bite-sized pieces.
- Place all the marinade ingredients in a plastic bag with the chicken bites.
- Set the bag in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- I use mini wooden sticks and soak them in water for around 1 hour.
- Notes: I remove the rosemary (if using) and if you've marinated it overnight it can have too much juice so drain some out.
- Thread the chicken pieces on the soaked skewers.
- Set the Air fryer at 400 degrees and preheat for 3 minutes.
- Place the skewers on an oil-sprayed wire basket or use the air fryer liners found online.
- Air fry for 15 mins flipping halfway through cooking time.
- Internal temperature should be at least 165 degrees in the thickest part of the chicken center.
- Let it rest for 2 minutes then bake the next batch.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
