Flatbread Pizza

Seriously this is the quickest pizza to make on the planet with storebought premade flatbread

We often make our own and keep the flatbread frozen to make quick pizza appetizers, snacks, dinners, or that anytime craving so check out our homemade flatbread pizza.

Keep a few ingredients in the pantry to build your favorite pizza with toppings like bottled pizza sauce, grated cheese, and mozzarella, then just check or topping suggestions below to build a gourmet-style pizza!

When I have no clue what to make for dinner and not in the mood to cook, flatbread pizza always comes to the rescue.

We even enjoy a dessert pizza topping flatbread with cinnamon, sugar, and butter for a fun after-dinner dessert snack.

Step By Step Easy Flatbread Pizza

  1. bake the flatbread until crispy on high heat ( air fry it for around 5 minutes at 400 degrees)
  2. spread with pizza sauce or sliced tomatoes, fresh basil, and garlic
  3. any prefered toppings and cheese
  4. broil until cheese is brown and bubbling until the edges are browned
  5. drizzle with more olive oil and top with optional herbs and spice

Flatbread Pizza and Bite-Sized Appetizers


If you're one to like recipes that are quick and easy this flatbread pizza will be a go-to recipe!

You can make this in a hurry in the air fryer, oven and even on a stovetop in a cast iron pan! Store-bought sauce, toppings you love on pizza, and cheese on hand to make your favorite style.

If you're hosting a party just cut them into triangles and serve them on a platter, you can even have another platter of toppings with vegetables and diced cooked meats.

Flatbread Pizza

Flatbread pizza can be an appetizer or a whole meal. Check out all our topping suggestions to make ordinally flatbread into a gourmet fabulous meal!

Ingredients

  • 4 flatbread, ( around 6-inch size), storebought or try our homemade flatbread recipe
  • 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, or more
  • cooking oil spray
  • 3 cloves of finely minced garlic (or use granulated garlic powder evenly sprinkled on top of each one)
  • 2 cups of fresh spinach or arugula leaves
  • 8 to 12 grape tomatoes, cut in half
  • 4 to 5 deli sliced whole milk mozzarella cheese or provolone cheese
  • 8 fresh basil leaves, plus more for serving
  • 1/4 cup of more grated Parmesan and Romano blended cheese
  • dried oregano
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup or more of feta cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the flatbread on a baking sheet, pizza stone, cast iron skillet, pie plate or whatever fits the sized flatbread you're using.
  2. Oil spray the pan/surface of the baking pan.
  3. Add the toppings above or choose a different kind of pizza using the suggestions under notes.
  4. Randomly place on each flatbread: the garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, spinach, grape tomatoes, and grated cheese, and evenly add small pieces randomly on top with mozzarella (or provolone deli sliced cheese) and top with feta cheese just a few pieces as shown in the photos.
  5. Drizzle some olive oil over the top of each flatbread before cooking then sprinkle with grated cheese.

  7. Cool for around 5 minutes before eating, under the cheese will be very hot.
  8. Cut in triangles for appetizers or serve flatbread whole on a plate.
  9. Air Fryer: Top the flatbread with any of your favorite toppings, and place on foil or a small cast iron pan. Air fry at 425 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes watching carefully.
  10. Oven: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Place the flatbread on a baking sheet. Add any toppings you prefer. Bake around 15 minutes until cheese melts for extra crispy top and browned cheese, broil on high for 2 minutes watching carefully. Broil can take less depending on which level rack you have it on.
  11. Stovetop: melt 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter in a heavy skillet or frying pan, and toast flatbread on both sides until crispy. Top with whatever you like add the cheese cover until the cheese melts.
