Quick Peanut Butter Fudge
Yield: 30
A delicious 4 ingredients Peanut Butter Fudge made quickly and perfect for any peanut butter lover and for holiday gift-giving.
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy-style peanut butter
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 4 cups sifted powdered sugar ( first sifted and then measured)
- Optional: nuts, festive holiday sprinkles, funfetti, chopped maraschino cherries, chocolate chips or another flavored chip, peanut butter cups chopped
Instructions
- Prepare two fudge-sized rectangular pan with parchment paper and set this aside. (I usually use foil pans). The pan measures 9 x 6 and normally I use two pans for a thinner fudge.
- In a medium-sized saucepan, place the heat to a low temperature and melt the butter with the peanut butter.
- Stir until smooth and combined evenly (do not allow to boil)
- Remove the mixture from the heat.
- Using a heavy wooden spoon to stir this with, add the vanilla and slowly mix in the powdered sugar little by little allowing this to thicken.
- Smooth this mixture into the pan/or pans (depending on the thickness you prefer).
- Press the top down with the back of the spoon for a smoother finish.
- Refrigerate the fudge until firm around 1 or 2 hours.
- Cut into squares, and wrap each on in plastic wrap. Store in pretty tins for gift-giving.
- Note: any mix-in can be pressed on the top of the fudge. I do not add them to the base fudge filling.
- See notes for options to place on top of the fudge before placing in the refrigerator.
