This simple cookie uses a Double Fudge Cookie Mix with the addition of flour, melted butter, and egg then rolled into powdered sugar before baking which makes them so fudgy and delicious.
Once they bake up, they have a snowy crinkled round look like a snowball perfect for the Christmas holiday cookie tray.
Although this cookie is great any time of the year it surely is a festive pretty cookie and so easy to prepare.

Cookie Mix Double Fudge Cookies
- add the package and extra ingredients in a bowl and mix until a stiff dough forms
- using a cookie scoop place a scoop into a plate of powdered sugar and cover the cookie dough on both sides
- place the cookies two inches apart on a parchment-lined cookie sheet
- bake at 350 degrees for around 20 minutes and then check them to see if they are dry in the center (use a toothpick) remove to the oven
- cool for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack

Chocolate Crinkle Doctored Cookie Mix Cookies
These cookies taste great just the way they are and you can even leave the powdered sugar over and make a chocolate glaze after they cool.
If you need a festive cookie recipe and do a cookie exchange, this is the perfect flavor to add to that Christmas Cookie Tray.
Instead of powdered sugar these can also be dipped into melted white chocolate and topped with crushed candy canes, sprinkles, and shaved chocolate and you can just adapt away to make the prettiest cookie on that holiday cookie tray.

Cookie Mix Crinkle Cookies
These are a crinkle cookie made from a doctored cookie mix. Double fudge snowballs rolled into powdered sugar then baked.

Ingredients
- 1 -17,5 ounce package of Double Chocolate Chunk cookie mix (we used Betty Crocker brand) you can use any chocolate cookie mix
- 3/4 cup of flour (more if the dough is sticky) add an additional 1 tablespoon at a time if the dough is still sticky
- 1 egg
- 1 stick of melted butter and cooled
- 2 tablespoons of strong perked coffee
- Garnish for rolling the cookie dough into before baking:
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- Optional: 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon orange extract ( in our recipe we added both)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
- Place the powdered sugar into a pie plate or paper plate.
- Place the cookie mix in a large bowl, and add the egg, flour, coffee, and melted cooled butter.
- Mix until a stiff dough is formed, and let the dough sit for a few minutes to absorb the flour before you add any more.
- The dough should be thick enough to roll into balls.
- Using a cookie scoop or by hand roll into balls and roll into the powdered sugar.
- Place on the cookie sheet and bake for around 20 minutes.
- Use a toothpick in one to see if it comes clean if anything sticks bake a few more minutes. The bottoms should be brown.
- Cool for 5 minutes before removing from the pan.
