Quick Bread Cheese Muffins Step by Step:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and prepare a 12-cup muffin tin with oil spray(or loaf pan)
- place the dry ingredients in one bowl and in another bowl the wet ingredients
- blend the two mixtures together just until moistened
- fold in the cheese
- scoop into muffin tins and add toppings if using
- bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown

- Make sure the oven is completely heated so these rise perfectly
- Use an ice cream scoop for 12 evenly-sized muffins
- You can dip these in your favorite dipping sauces
- Add some red pepper flakes on top for a little heat before baking

Ingredients
- Batter for quick cheese bread muffins:
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 4 teaspoons of baking powder
- 2 teaspoons roasted granulated garlic powder or regular garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons dried mixed herbs ( basil, oregano, and parsley) you can use Italian seasoning we just like these 3
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Wet Ingredients (just to moisten do not over mix)
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of whole milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter melted and cooled
- Fold in the cheese:
- 1- 1/2 cups of assorted shredded cheese off the block then shredded (not pre-shredded) we use sharp cheddar, swiss, pepper jack, Havarti, or provolone
- Garnish:
- 1 tablespoon of Parmesan grated
- freshly chopped basil
- more shredded cheese for the top before baking is optional
- more dried herbs for the top
- Optional: add 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper for a spicy muffin
Instructions
- Oil spray a muffin pan (12 cups) or a loaf pan 9 x 9 and set it aside.
- For appetizers use a mini muffin pan oil sprayed
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- You will need two bowls one for all the dry ingredients and another for the wet ingredients.
- Place the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, dried herbs, and sugar in one bowl. just mix to blend it evenly with a fork.
- In the other bowl whisk together the egg, milk, and melted butter.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients just until moistened.
- Fold in the cheese (see notes for toppings)
- Spoon into the muffin cups topped with some grated cheese.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- If using a bread loaf pan this will take around 45 to 50 minutes.
- Garnish with more shredded cheese and torn fresh basil.
