Step-by-Step Air Fryer Instructions
- peel the sweet potatoes (I microwave them before I use my french fry cutter for 5 minutes so they cut through easily)
- preheat the air fryer for 4 to 5 minutes at 425 degrees
- oil spray the basket or brush with cooking oil
- oil spray the sweet potatoes
- toss the fries with the spices and herbs you're using the place them on the basket in single formation
- air fryer 12 to 14 minutes
Ingredients To Make These Air-Fried Home Fries
- cooking spray butter flavored or olive oil
- sweet potatoes peeled and cut into fries
- mixed herbs dried parsley, dried basil, dried oregano
- granulated garlic to taste
- seasoning salt
- salt and pepper evenly to taste
- optional serving ideas: parmesan cheese on top, cayenne pepper for heat or red pepper flakes, cinnamon/sugar mixture, a dipping sauce of choice or condiments
Tips:
- Make sure you coat the potatoes with oil spray and spray the basket
- Freshly peeled potatoes are easier to cut if you microwave them to soften a bit for 5 minutes
- For a different flavor try sprinkling them lightly with cinnamon/sugar mixture after air frying
- Butter spray tastes the best on sweet potato fries however you can use whatever kind you have on hand
- Preheat the air fryer or oven before air frying for 5 minutes

Easy Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries are perfect for snacking on or with any meal.
Ingredients
- 3 to 4 sweet potatoes or yams peeled and cut into french fries
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt (homemade version or store-bought)
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs (parsley, basil, oregano)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
- butter or olive oil cooking spray
- Optional serving ideas: cayenne pepper for heat or red pepper flakes, cinnamon/sugar mixture, a dipping sauce of choice
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 435 degrees.
- Oil spray your rack or basket and set aside on paper towel.
- Tip: for easy slicing of sweet potatoes into fry formation place them in the microwave on a paper towel for 5 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before adding to a french fry chopper or slicing by hand.
- After slicing add them to a bowl, and spray them with cooking oil.
- Sprinkle with herbs, spice, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Place them on the prepared sprayed basket and air fry (see notes for other cooking methods) for 12 to 14 minutes at 425 degrees.
- Serve them as is, sprinkled with grated Parmesan cheese, dipping sauces of choice you prefer or any kind of condiments.
- Note: for cinnamon/sugar flavor add a butter spray then sprinkle with mixture after air frying.
