Doctored Cake Mix Recipes

These cupcakes or cakes are full proof, easy, moist, over the top flavorful, smell heavenly baking, and can be done in bars, cupcakes, a bundt pan, double layers whatever you have they're a total win-win!

Ingredients You Will Need(scroll down to the recipe card for exact measurements)
- yellow cake mix or chocolate cake mix any brand
- water, eggs, and oil from the boxed ingredient information
- peanut butter
- canned frosting
- For Other Optional Topping Additions: chocolate chips, chopped Reeses peanut butter cups, peanut butter chips, sprinkles
Tips
- Only yellow or chocolate cake mixes
- Bake until the middles are set not browned use a toothpick method
- If using cake pans heavily grease or oil spray pay
- Always preheat the oven
- Use the ingredients on the box of your cake mix
- crunchy or smooth peanut butter is fine
- chocolate or vanilla canned frostings could be used with the addition of 1/4 cup of peanut butter
- cupcakes, sheet cakes, or a combination of 12 cupcakes and one small cake can be made
- Use an ice cream scoop for even-sized cupcakes

Chocolate Cake Mix Peanut Butter Cake

This is a doctored cake mix peanut butter flavored yellow cake. Frosted with canned chocolate frosting with the addition of peanut butter.
Ingredients
- 1 package chocolate or yellow cake mix (made with the measurement ingredients on the box ) we used Duncan Hines
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (any kind or brand crunchy or smooth can be used)
- 1 (16-ounce) can of chocolate frosting with 1/4 cup peanut butter added and mixed together

Instructions
- Preheat the oven and heat to 350 degrees.
- Mix the cake exactly like the package requirements.
- Pour into any kind of greased baking pan, paper-lined cupcake tins, or a molded style pan.
- Prepare the cake mix according to package directions, adding 1/2 cup of peanut butter along with the eggs, oil, and water as instructed on the package instructions.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes depending on cupcakes or full-sized cake (refer again to the package instructions.
- To ensure the cake is completed cooking use the toothpick in the center to see if it comes clean when removed.
- Mix the 1/4 cup of peanut butter with chocolate or vanilla canned frosting, and frost the cooled cake or cupcakes.
