Easy Garlic Aioli

This is a delicious Easy Garlic Aioli recipe we love as a dip, or on our crab and shrimp cakes, plus this is fabulous as a sandwich spread the flavors are subtle with simple pantry ingredients and have so many uses.

The aioli is not only a great dip with your garlic bread, on bruschetta bread, but it's also a perfect garnish for several types of meat or for dipping with fried seafood.

This is packed with fresh garlic, mayonnaise, lemon juice, a little Dijon mustard, and super easy to whip up in no time flat it's so quick and you really need nothing but a bowl and whisk to get it mixed up.

We mix and match fresh herbs to compliment the meats we top or add some freshly chopped vegetables for our dip platter, and it's a perfect appetizer for entertaining family and friends when hosting a party.

This tasty appetizer dip is very addicting so I will warn you, to make sure you have plenty of your favorite dipping ingredients on hand.


It's great anytime while watching a movie to spread on crackers, for dinner on chicken or salmon and this appetizer can be served with healthy raw vegetables for dipping to keep the calories down!


If you're a garlic lover and a mayonnaise fan, this will be a favorite go-to dip for every party you host.


Aioli is traditionally made with garlic, olive oil, and sometimes eggs (which is already in the mayonnaise right!!?)


Now with our modern everyday easiest version right here adding lemon juice, garlic, delicious herbs, and spices, it's done in no time flat easily, and delicious.

Optional Ingredients To Add

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh Italian parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro using lime juice instead of lemon in the recipe
  • add 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
  • add 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • add 2 tablespoons avocado pureed with lime juice instead of lemon
  • add 1 teaspoon of chipotle seasoning
  • add 2 tablespoons pureed roasted peppers or jalapeno peppers
  • add 3 tablespoons truffle oil to the recipe
  • add roasted garlic instead of freshly minced garlic 
  • Note: One or more ingredients above can be combined in your aioli just add to your taste

This is a delicious Easy Garlic Aioli recipe we use as a dip, for our crab cakes, or as a fabulous sandwich spread.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 cloves of finely minced fresh garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon of any of these: chopped fresh dill for fish, chopped fresh basil for topping Italian sandwiches or dipping pizza in, chopped fresh mint for lamb kabobs or lamb burgers

Instructions

  1. Mix mayonnaise, with all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Note: you can mix this by hand or if you want it whipped place everything in a blender just until smooth.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  4. Store in a mason jar covered for up to 1 week.

  • spread on sandwiches IE: Italian hoagies, Turkey clubs, etc.
  • a dip for crabcakes, salmon, or other fish you serve (adding dill to the aioli)
  • lamb burgers (adding mint to the aioli)
  • on steamed vegetables IE: broccoli, cauliflower
  • a dip for white pizza or tomato sauce pizza
  • drizzle on top of roasted vegetables or grilled vegetables IE artichokes
  • add the dip to a cheese board served with an assortment 
  • serve aioli with shrimp, scallops, fried clams, or on lobster rolls
  • aioli is greatly used as a salad dressing on fancy greens
  • serve alongside as a topping for burritos, or fish tacos as a dip
  • dip your potato wedges or a topping for baked potatoes
