A Party Favorite Dip
Don't you just love that first try on something you never had and see someone's eyes light up with a huge WOW factor?
Well, if you have a bacon fan or BLT fan in your home you're going to get that reaction!
The first time I made it, no one wanted to use it as a dip they spread it on toasted bread or stuffed it inside a wrap, no joking!
When I first made my Loaded Potato Buffalo Dip a few years ago that was the favorite, this one just took first place!
Seriously, this is the most addicting BLT dip on the planet, you must try it!
Dipping and Scooping Suggestions:
- celery sticks
- carrot sticks
- zucchini thick strips from a mandolin or slices
- pickles sliced lengthwise
- cucumber slices
- bacon-flavored crackers or your favorite kinds
- tortilla chips pita chips
- garlic bread or breadsticks
- apple slices
- perfect in a wrap, pita bread of toasted bread of any kind bread to spread for a sandwich
Ingredients You Will Need
- shreds or chopped fine of Romaine lettuce (or you can buy bagged shredded iceberg if you prefer)
- sour cream
- granulated garlic powder
- white pepper
- mayonnaise or more to taste (you can use salad dressing also if you love the sweeter brands)
- crumbled crunchy cooked bacon
- chopped Roma (plum) tomatoes or use grape tomatoes chopped (a good sweet brand)
- Optional Garnish: shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese and 2 teaspoons or more o fresh chopped Italian parsley ( for color) or dill weed

Tips:
- Use the exact ingredient brands you would use to make a BLT (if you prefer sweet mayo use it!)
- Any kinds of lettuce you like are fine
- Keep this cold at all times ( its better served 2 to 3 hours after it's been made refrigerated
- Low-fat products are fine to substitute
- For Diabetic choose low carb vegetables and pork rinds for dipping
- Keep this dip over ice and covered at outdoor functions
- This dip is great for a sandwich spread with any leftovers
- If you add other ingredients to your regular sandwich or prefer a certain toasted bread just use whatever your use to IE pickles, sliced cheeses, radishes, cucumbers, etc.
- Add more or fewer spices to taste

Bacon
I love applewood bacon and that's all I ever buy.
There are hickory smoked and maple-flavored kinds in your meat case at the supermarket, just pick whatever you prefer.
I never fry bacon, I always lay it in a baking pan lined with parchment and bake it until super crispy as shown on 350 degrees.
It's easier and virtually no mess unless it spills over with grease in the pan.
I have even used disposable pans, to save time in the cleaning process.
Cook the bacon any way you want but this is the easiest way I have found to prepare with little fuss.

BLT Dip Recipe

The BLT is an all-time American favorite sandwich. This dip as every inch of those flavors and you will have several dipping suggestions listed to use. This is the most asked for a dip at any party and you are sure to have a winner anytime you make this simple appetizer.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups shredded or chopped fine of Romaine lettuce (or you can buy bagged shredded iceberg if you prefer)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black or white pepper (add more to taste)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise or more to taste (you can use salad dressing also if you love the sweeter brands)
- 12 slices of crumbled crunchy cooked bacon
- 1/2 cup chopped Roma (plum) tomatoes or use grape tomatoes chopped (a good sweet brand)
- Optional Garnish: roasted honey nuts, roasted pecans, roasted pumpkin seeds, shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese, fresh chopped Italian parsley ( for color), or 1 teaspoon of dill weed on top
- Dipping Suggestions:

Instructions:
- On a parchment-lined baking deep pan (13 x 9 inches) bake the bacon until super crispy and not rubbery at all ( or fry it).
- Cool and drain the fat.
- Crumble when cooled leaving big chunks and set aside.
- Mix sour cream and mayonnaise in a small bowl until blended along with white pepper and granulated garlic powder. Stir in bacon.
- Arrange lettuce on a small glass deep platter or glass 9-inch pie plate. Spoon sour cream mixture over lettuce.
- Top with tomatoes; sprinkle with cheese if using and garnish suggestions.
- Serve with dipping suggestions on the side above.
