Ranch Dressing Recipe and Party Foods
These are few fun ideas in red, white, and blue for Patriotic party foods plus the best ever homemade ranch dressing for dipping these delicious tomato skewers in.
Ingredients:
- Sprinkles to match the party theme red, white and blue
- Cake Mix yellow or white
- Colorful sugars in red, blue or white chunky sugar
- Pretzels mini style
- Grape tomatoes
- Mozzarella balls or cubes
- Kalamata olives, blackberries or blue grapes
- Strawberries
- Marshmallow. angela food cake or pound cake cubes
- White melting chocolate
- Blueberries
- Mini skewers around 4 inches long
Instructions:
- For the Cupcakes:
- Mix a yellow or white cake to package instructions and at the end fold in the theme-colored sprinkles to the batter. Bake cupcakes to package instruction.
- Frost with canned frosting and more colorful themed sprinkles
- For the Pretzels:
- Use either mini pretzels, sticks, or rods.
- Melt the white dipping chocolate in the microwave to package instructions.
- Dip the pretzels and add colorful themed sugars or sprinkles to each one.
- For the Red White and Blue Skewers:
- Slice the strawberries down the center removing the stem.
- Using melted white dipping chocolate, dip the wide end of the strawberry in the white chocolate and dip into colorful themed sugars or sprinkles let dry on wax paper.
- Thread with 4-inch skewers with blueberries around 3, then a marshmallow then dipped strawberries. Place on a rectangular white dish.
- For the Tomato Skewers:
- Using the 4 -inch skewers, thread grape tomato, mozzarella cubes, and kalamata olive. Serve with ranch homemade dressing.
- Antipasto Skewers: grape tomato, olives, Genoa salami, Romaine lettuce, mozzarella cubes, balsamic vinegar reduction
- Ranch Dressing recipe:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup buttermilk use a store-bought brand
- 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried chives or freshly chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt or to regular salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon finely cracked pepper or more to taste
- 3 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Whisk together all ingredients and store in a mason jar. Chill before serving. This dressing lasts for up to one week refrigerated.
