What Is Hot Milk Cake?
This is a very old fashioned cake from the 1940s time period and mom, of course, made the best!
Milk, eggs, butter, flour, and a few other simple pantry ingredients, make this easy baked treat turn into a delicious sweet moist dessert cake we all loved.
We had milk delivered to our door back then when I was a child and the top of the milk always had a thick two inches of heavy cream mom would whip is fresh for this cake.
.
Mom always served this cake warm out of the oven with freshly whipped cream and sometimes fresh fruits on top.
.
If there were any leftovers, we would just have the cake sprinkled with powdered sugar the next day.
Years of vintage delicious childhood memories continue to be made in my kitchen in mom's memory and this delicious scratch cake awaits you!
