The light and airy crispy dough are fantastic with any meal especially stews, chili and hot out of the oven slathered with butter.
Our family loves this bread recipe and it will make around 2 long french bread loaves or one large loaf.
You don't need an industrial mixer to make this fabulous bread and it comes out looking like you spent all day kneading it!
All you need is a very large glass bowl, a large spoon to mix the dough with, and yes it's that simple.
The bread bakes into a hard golden crust with a rustic-style finish and can be transformed into any style or shape you like depending on the pan you choose to use.
The smell will make your mouth water while it's baking, and it may not make it to the dinner table.
We love bread of all kinds and often make homemade pizza, pizza fritta (fried dough), mom's sausage bread and antipasto roll.

If you have never made bread and a bread lover, try this easy no-knead bread is a wonderful starter recipe for new bakers.
We love asiago cheese baked on the top and sesame seeded is another family favorite.
I made these loaves plain so you can see the bread as it is, the dough is quite sticky so I don't recommend that you try to use this for stuffing.
This dough can easily be made into pizza shells.
Make Your Favorite Pizza!
Spoon a thin layer of this dough on a parchment-lined round pan or whatever shape you want, bake it until browned around 20 minutes.
After the pizza shell is baked, top it with your favorite tomato sauce and cheese and broil it until the cheese is melted and bubbling.

Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1- 1/4 cups lukewarm water
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 - 1/2 teaspoons salt
- Optional Toppings: Italian herb seasoning and granulated garlic
- poppy seeds, sesame seeds, onion flakes, Asiago cheese, or other shredded cheeses
Instructions:
How to cook Easy No-Knead Bread
- In a glass measuring cup add 1/4 cup of lukewarm water and yeast. Set this aside for 5 minutes stirring to combine evenly.
- In a large glass bowl ( around 8-quart size), add the flour making an indent in the center of the bowl.
- Pour the yeast mixture in the center of the flour, then add the rest of the water, salt and mix with a large spoon.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place away from drafts for 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees for around 30 minutes while the loaves are sitting in the pans you are using.
- I used a french bread loaf pan lined with parchment paper for my loaves.
- Note: Other pan suggestions are cast iron, small dutch oven pan or baking sheets, loaf pans or cake pans, lined with parchment paper to bake the bread in.
- Using a spoon or silicone spatula, spoon the dough into whatever parchment-lined pan you choose.
- This makes two long french loaves or 1- 10 inch round skillet or 1 very large loaf pan.
- Sprinkle the top of the dough with some flour and let this sit for around 30 minutes in the pan.
- If using additional toppings, sprinkle them on top before baking this bread.
- Slash the loaf with a razor blade down the center of the loaf.
- Bake for approximately 35 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the pan.
- The top should be browned and crispy-looking when cooking is completed.
- Tip: add ice cubes to a cookie sheet when the bread rises in the oven while cooking to make a nice crispy crust
