Girl Scout Cookie Recipes

Growing up I sold them, as an adult I devour them. Girl Scout cookies were a fun cookie that I personally looked forward to every year.

Not only to support the girls but they're so darn delicious.

Over the years I just couldn't wait any longer and those knockoffs in the supermarket just didn't satisfy my addiction.

My favorite has always been the peanut butter patties, I could eat a whole box and hoard them away as a kid I didn't like to share them with anyone.

In this roundup that is by far my favorite girl scout cookie homemade.

I had to go back in time to some of the retired cookies that are favorites in the family.

The kids love those little powdered sugared coolers, they would eat them like candy!

In between those times when I can't get my cookie fix, I make these recipes.

Over the years, these cookies have had so many changes.

Fans of Girl Scout cookie favorites like "Samoas" and "Tagalongs" better get used to saying "Caramel deLites" and "Peanut Butter Patties" instead.

That's because Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys has switched bakers for its cookies.

The change means some well-known cookies have different names and a slightly different taste.

Around 2015 there was a shortage of cookies and two licensed bakers for these cookies in the U.S,.

I read online the two baking companies Little Brownie Bakers and ABC Bakers were the makers.

These Girl Scouts troops have sold cookies from the Little Brown Bakers for years then they had trouble keeping up with orders that were popular like
thin mints.

They switched to ABC Bakers.

Both companies sell the Thin Mint Cookies and have a slightly different taste.

Other cookies have entirely different names. Folka use to the name"Do-si-dos" should instead look for "Peanut Butter Sandwiches" and "Trefoils" are called "Shortbread."

"Carmel deLights" use milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate and are shaped slightly different than "Samoas."

The average Girl Scout cookie fan really isn't going to know the difference
