Of course, for kid-friendly just omit the Kahlua and add more vanilla, we split this recipe in half and make both with one batch just stir in the flavoring of choice at the end.

I have to admit I am a big fan of hot fudge sauce on ice cream with whipped cream, a cherry, and any kind of nuts, (preferably macadamia or pistachios) but this delectable sauce will turn a plain cake, cheesecake, or brownies into a new level of yum!

Ingredients Kahlua Hot Fudge Sauce(scroll to the recipe card for exact measurements below)
- unsweetened chocolate squares
- sweetened condensed milk
- vanilla
- salt
Tips
- use a glass bowl if you don't have a double-boiler to melt the chocolate over a pan of water
- add water a little at a time to get the desired thickness
- add more Kahlua for alcohol taste
- for nonalcohol add an additional teaspoon of vanilla or coffee extract
- store in a mason jar or glass jar with a cover in the refrigerator
- reheat the fudge in the microwave for 10 seconds in a small microwave-proof dish for hot fudge sauce when serving
- use another extract in place of vanilla or Kahlua like mint, orange, raspberry, almond for a change
- Other liquors to use if you're not a fan of Kahlua: Frangelico, Amaretto, Bailey's Irish Cream, Bourbon, or Raspberry Chambord

Kahlua Hot Fudge Sauce Recipe
A delicious hot fudge sauce made with Kahlua which has a hint of coffee flavor in the liquor. Great over ice cream, cakes, and whatever you like as a dessert topping.

Ingredients
- 1 (14 - ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla
- 2 tablespoons of Kahlua or one of our other suggestions (orange extract, mint, raspberry, almond, or rum flavoring)
- Optional: Other liquors to use if you're not a fan of Kahlua: Frangelico, Amaretto, Bourbon, or Raspberry Chambord
Instructions
- Combine condensed milk, chocolate, and salt using a double boiler over rapidly boiling water.
- Stir and cook until chocolate melts and the mixture thickens for about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in water, a little at a time, until sauce reaches desired consistency.
- Cool slightly and stir in vanilla add Kahlua.
- Serve warm over your favorite cake, ice cream, bread pudding, or as a cheesecake topping.
- Store leftovers in a mason jar or glass jar for up to 3 weeks refrigerated.
