If you want SCARY!

First of all, if you want spooky-looking faces or funny faces you will have to decide.

Every year, I make a different face and no two are alike.

It depends on what I have on hand in the refrigerator.

The colors of the vegetables you choose or olives change the whole face.

Tips:

  • Decorate the meatloaf after it's baked and transfer to a clean pie plate
  • Always grease the tin to bake it in or pie plate generously for easy removal
  • Use green, black olives sliced
  • Cut up carrots work great for teeth and stems
  • Green bell pepper sliced work perfectly for the teeth and other decorations on the pumpkin face

Fun Foods

I love to make creative foods at Halloween, the kids gobble it up with no problem!

I also like to get the kids involved in the kitchen preparing a great Halloween spooktacular meal!

This is a simple and creative way to celebrate Halloween when you're a fan of this spooky holiday.

Decorate With Foods

You will need to get creative on foods you want to use.

I liked the green olives better for the pumpkin meatloaf eyes, than the black olives for color.

You can use even the kalamata olives which are a little purple in color.

When you bake this, you also want to make sure it doesn't burn away the features, it takes an hour for a thick meatloaf.

You don't have to cool it, just decorate it and set in the refrigerator or serve it immediately.

For Decorating:

Pour sauce over the top. Decorate with pepper rings and use olives for the eyeballs.

Note: I think black olives with red pepper centers would have looked better, I didn't have them.
