This spicy jalapeno popper dip is a game changer, it's easy and made in less than 30 minutes! Plus it is totally addictive.

The dip has mayonnaise, sour cream of course jalapeno pepper chopped in a creamy mound of deliciousness.

Perfect when hosting a dinner party for an appetizer and a terrific addition to your recipe collection of dips.

  • mayonnaise
  • cream cheese
  • drained green chilies
  • jalapeno peppers chopped
  • shredded sharp cheddar
  • parmesan cheese
  • granulated garlic powder or freshly grated
  • freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • Optional: hot sauce for hot spicy food lovers!
  • Topping: Italian flavored bread crumbs Parmesan melted butter cooked bacon and more cheese around shredded cheddar cheese

Spicy Jalapeno Popper Dip

This spicy dip is for all the jalapeno lovers out there who love stuffed ones. We made a deconstructed dip and it is so much easier than frying them!

Ingredients

  • Dip Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 can drained green chilies
  • 1/4 cup jalapeno peppers chopped or more if you like hot
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder or use freshly grated garlic; around 2 teaspoons
  • freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon (or more to taste) of hot sauce for hot spicy food lovers!
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 cup Italian flavored bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan
  • 2 teaspoons melted butter
  • Optional: 1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon and more cheese around
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Beat the cream cheese until fluffy and no lumps.
  2. Mix all the rest of the dip ingredients evenly and pour into an oven-safe casserole dish.
  3. In a small bowl mix the breadcrumbs with butter and cheese (add bacon cooked and crumbled if desired)
  4. Sprinkle with more cheese on top if using and bacon if using.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees until the cheese is melted and the breadcrumbs begin to be toasted and browned (usually around 25 to 35 minutes).
  6. Leftovers are great as a spread on top of steaks, and burgers and it's a delicious topping for baked potatoes!!!
