You can add any dried fruits nuts or even chocolate chips on top of the toast.
One combination we loved was the chocolate chips and cinnamon combination.
This toast can be made ahead of time and eaten cold.

As a child, this cinnamon toast was my favorite breakfast or snack grandma made for me and I still love it as an adult.
Ingredients
- Cinnamon Sugar Recipe:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- Bread to use for Toasting:
- American, Italian, Brioche, or your favorite bagel, muffins etc.
- How to make real Butter:
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 16-ounce mason jar with a tight-fitting lid
- 1 mesh strainer
Instructions
- Cinnamon sugar, whisk together and store in an air-tight jar,
- Bread: toast to however you like it light or dark in a toaster.
- Making Homemade Butter:
- Add the heavy cream and salt to the jar.
- Place the lid on tight, and shake until the cream deflates and chunks start to form.
- Shake until larger chunks appear.
- Place in the mesh strainer.
- The liquid is buttermilk you can use in another recipe.
- Whats left in the strainer is butter.
- Rinse the butter chunks and store it in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- This will stay fresh 4 to 5 days.
