  • Cannellini Beans drained and rinsed or use any white beans you prefer (navy or great northern work perfectly fine)
  • extra virgin olive oil add more if the dip is to thick
  • fresh Italian parsley
  • freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • cloves of fresh garlic cleaned
  • granulated garlic
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • pinch of cayenne powder or more for heat or use red pepper flakes
  • Optional for Herb Flavored: freshly chopped basil, dried oregano

  • Pulse slowly for desired smoothness
  • Add more olive oil if it's too thick
  • This dip taste better warmed just a little
  • Adding cooked ham gives this a smokey flavor or use cooked bacon
  • For herbs flavored add more herbs you like, basil and oregano are good choices
  • Use only freshly chopped herbs if available for best results
  • For a delicious baked dip add grated Reggiano cheese on top and shredded mozzarella microwave or bake until cheese melts

This is a delicious white bean dip that is infused with garlic, olive oil, and some spices into a fabulous appetizer. This can be served with garlic bread or vegetables and made smooth or left chunky. This easy recipe is over the top delicious!

ingredients:

  • 1 (15-ounce) can cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cloves garlic cleaned and peeled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup olive oil, plus 4 tablespoons for the top
  • 1/4 cup (loosely packed) fresh Italian parsley leaves
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • cayenne pepper for heat to taste or red pepper flakes
  • Optional for Herb Flavored: freshly chopped basil, dried oregano
  • Optional Additions: chopped cooked ham, crispy crumbled bacon, chopped green  or black olives, chopped roasted peppers
  • Optional Garnishes:  Shredded mozzarella on top baked and melted, top sprinkled with grated Reggiano cheese and drizzled with more olive oil,

How to cook Tuscan White Bean Dip

  1. Add the beans, garlic, spices you're using,  any additions you like, olive oil and parsley into the food processor and pulse to the desired way you prefer your dips.
  2. I like mine smooth and added a few beans on the top.
  3. Season this to taste, add the salt, pepper and cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes (if using) as desired in flavor.
  4. Serve warmed for 30 seconds in the microwave for best results or baked at 400 degrees with shredded cheeses.
  5. Drizzle top with more olive oil before serving.
  6. Serve with Tuscan Garlic Bread, Stick Vegetables, Pita Points or Crackers or Tortilla Chips.
  7. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator and warm 20 to 30 seconds in the microwave for best results and flavors.
