Well, maybe you really think this is no comparison to the thick mile-high rich sweet gooey pecan pie.
Of course, it's not going to be exactly the same as that thick piece of buttery-rich pie, but these sure do the trick when you're one not to love baking pies!
A great alternative especially during a busy holiday season like Thanksgiving.
The bars are perfect for fall baking and a great addition to a holiday Christmas tray indeed!
I have to say that Pecan Pie is really a fantastic pie and one of my favorites, so these fill that craving until I have a slice!

Cookie Bars are So Much Easier
These one-pan pie bars are truly simple with all the flavor of an original pie recipe.
I usually make a pan for friends and family that love the actual pie and also they love my pecan chocolate pie bars, those are yummy as well!
I love making a variety of bars like my chocolate chip banana bars with coconut they're so delicious also!
So as you can see I love the ease of baking bars all in one pan and ready for company and entertaining anytime because you will always find a few of each in the freezer for variety!
Tips:
- Chop the pecans in a nut chopper.
- Don't overbake them.
- The pecan bars seem a little uncooked but this is normal. They will set up as they cool.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting, I like to refrigerate overnight.
- Use a plastic knife to cut the bars, it won't stick as easy
- I always use parchment paper to line the pan, cool then cut them.
- You can make these ahead of time and freeze them, thaw, and serve.
