These cake mix cookies are very light in texture ( using the whipped topping of choice) and with a few mix-ins like chocolate chips, nuts, sprinkles, or dried fruits, you can create all different kinds with our tips and suggestions below.
This easy-to-make cookie recipe can also be made with also flavors, and brands you prefer of cake mixes, however, to get a vast variety we usually choose a yellow or a white mix to start off with.
The cookies are great to bake for that last-minute parties and will take half the time to make all those different kinds just with one dough and one mix.

Step By Step Doctored Cake Mix Cookies
- preheat the oven and prepare your baking sheets with parchment paper or Silpat mats
- add the additional ingredients to a bowl with the cake mix
- freeze the dough for 1 hour wrapped
- using a melon ball scoop roll the balls into powdered sugar
- bake, cool, and enjoy!
Other Mix-In Suggestions:
- peanut butter chips
- mint chocolate chips
- toffee chips, butterscotch chips, lemon chips, milk or white chocolate chips
- substitute sunflower seeds, chopped pretzels or cereal for nuts
- dried fruits like cranberries
- for Christmas, colors add chopped maraschino cherries and white chocolate chips
- white, milk, and dark chocolate chunks
- chopped peanut butter cups or another chopped candy you prefer
- mint-filled chocolate candies chopped
- chopped unwrapped caramels, pistachios, pecans, macadamia nuts, coconut

- cookies cant be left plain, rolled in cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, or frosted

- coconut, chocolate chips, maraschino cherries, and almond or vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon anisette extract, dark chocolate chips, and anisette chocolate frosting
- chocolate teaspoon of cinnamon, chocolate chips, a dash of allspice, drizzle with chocolate icing, and top with pistachios

Cake Mix crinkles cookies are super easy to make and foolproof. Pretty snowy-looking cookies rolled into powdered sugar and baked.
Ingredients
- 1 8oz tub of whipped topping thawed (IE cool whip or another brand)
- 1 package of cake mix of any flavor you like (shown are lemon cake mix cookies)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
Instructions
- Mix whipped topping thawed with eggs and cake mix together.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and freeze it for around an hour.
- Using a small melon ball scoop, make small round balls, and roll them into the powdered sugar.
- Place cookies on parchment lined cookie sheet, ( return batter in between baking to the freezer for easy molding) if you only have one cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees hot oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
