Slow Cooker Berry Cobbler Recipe

Slow Cooker recipes are the best when you're pressed for time and this dessert is a fantastic example using fresh fruit and biscuit topping.

Our version below is made with fresh blackberries however if you're not a berry lover, feel free to choose another fruit.

If you love a biscuit topping, this cobbler is the perfect dessert treat.

This old-fashioned made-from-scratch cobbler hits every checkmark when it comes to authentic delicious desserts and is made all in the slow cooker.

Tips


  • use fresh fruits that contain lots of juice in them ripe peaches, mango, berries, pears, pineapple, etc
  • any pie filling can be used with this recipe when in a hurry just no need to bake first
  • always use melted cooled butter
  • substituted cardamon for cinnamon
  • serve with whipped cream or ice cream
  • store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat in the microwave for 10 seconds

Cobbler and Other Named Desserts


Cobblers crumble, and crisps pretty much are a basic and easy dessert that falls under the same umbrella.

These remind me of a pie but without the double pie crust.

Slow Cooker Berry Cobbler Recipe

A slow cooker cobbler is a delicious dessert with fruit an biscuits made in 2 hours.
Prep time: 10 MinCook time: 2 HourTotal time: 2 H & 10 M

Ingredients

  • 4 cups blackberries fresh or frozen
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Cobbler Batter:
  • 1 cup AP flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Oil spray the liner of your slow cooker.
  2. Combine berries with sugar and flour.
  3. Place the berries in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Make the batter placing all the dry ingredients in a bowl then add the wet and mix to evenly combine. (do not over-mix the batter)
  5. Drop random spoonfuls over the berries.
  6. Set the slow cooker to high for 2 hours.
  7. The edges should start to look browned and the top not be wet when the completion of slow cooking is done.
  8. Spoon into bowls and serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
